Client files and HR engagement records are generally retained for a minimum of seven (7) years following completion of the engagement, consistent with standard business record keeping obligations under Australian law.
12. Access to and Correction of Personal Information
12.1 Access
Under APP 12, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. We will respond to access requests within a reasonable time (generally within 30 days) and will not charge a fee for making the request, though we may charge a reasonable fee to cover the cost of providing access.
We may decline access in circumstances permitted by the Act, such as where providing access would unreasonably impact the privacy of another individual, or where access would be unlawful.
12.2 Correction
Under APP 13, if you believe personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, you may request that we correct it. We will take reasonable steps to correct the information within 30 days of receiving your request.
13. Privacy Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs or otherwise mishandled your personal information, we encourage you to contact us in the first instance using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
